Gary has written both popular and scholarly books and articles. In New Testament studies his interest is in the influence of ancient Middle Eastern culture on the New Testament. His technical writing is in the study of the Fourth Gospel. Gary also writes about the current conflict in Israel/Palestine and is often asked to explain this unending problem in light of Biblical teaching.
